Alumni Meet 2018

L. M. College of Pharmacy feels pride in announcing the successful completion of its 3rd Alumni Meet on 6th January, 2018. The meet was organized under the banner of ‘LMCP Alumni Association and Research Society’.

As a part of scientific event of the meet, four special guest lectures on theme “Recent Advances in Entrepreneurship and Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences” was organized by alumni for the benefit of existing students, sponsored by LMCP Alumni Association and Research Society under Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP).

Dr Ferzaan Engineer (Co-founder & Chairman, Cytecare Hospitals, Bengaluru) delivered a lecture on “Creating Model Cancer Hospitals in India.”

Shri Kaushik Shah (Joint Managing Director, Sushen Medicamentos, Ahmedabad) delivered a lecture on “Entrepreneurship in the Pharmaceutical Industry.”

Shri Jatin Gajjar (Executive Vice President and Head, R&D, ‎Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Ahmedabad) delivered a lecture on “Innovation in Pharmaceuticals: Solid Oral Dosage.”

Shri Padmin Buch (Senior Project & Management Advisor National level IPR Domain Expert. Senior Visiting Faculty, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India ) delivered a lecture on “Entrepreneurship Opportunities & Avenues in the Pharmacy & Allied fields.”

Formal gathering with alumni in the LMCP campus started at 6.30 PM. Distinguished alumni (On dias) – Dr. C. J. Shishoo (Ex-Principal, LMCP), Mr. A.V. Patel (Founder, Centurian Laboratories), Dr. N.R. Sheth (Vice Chancellor, GTU) and Dr. Hemant Koshia (Commissioner, FDCA, Gujarat) graced the occasion with their presence.

AES Dignitaries (Off dias) included Shree B.M. Shah, Dr. Kalro, Shree Natubhai Panchal & Shree Kamdar whose presence boosted the atmosphere.

During the meet, the resumed publication of L. M. College of Pharmacy Newsletter – “The Memoir” for the academic year 2016-2017 was launched electronically by the principal Dr. M. T. Chhabria and the distinguished guests.

Cultural events were performed by the students which included Prayer Dance, Song sequence, Parody, Ghoomar & Qavvali. It was a matter of pride when one of our alumni members – Ms. Shilpa Trivedi appreciated Ghoomar performance by giving Rs. 1000 to the Ghoomar team.

More than 550 alumni were present at the meet.

The alumni of the college were filled with nostalgia and are eager to be a part of such events in the future.

  1. Well arranged and equally managed programme this time.. Feeling honourable to be a part of it.. special thanks for one picture with the volunteer which make me smile and removed that these are the guys who made that evening beautiful by their hardwork..
